Cambodia for the Thrill Seeker
Blessed with dramatic backdrops, pristine beaches and rolling terrain, Cambodia is a real- life beauty and the beast for the thrill seeking traveller – and there is no shortage of ways to make your hair stand on end (just beware of the long term care annuities, because these are dangerous things and something really could go wrong):
Rock Climbing and Abseiling in Cambodia
Abseiling is a favourite pastime and with craggy mountainscapes and lush green forests, offers some of the most spectacular settings imaginable. Abseil down the waterfalls in Dalat or tackle the challenging hills around Angkor Wat and watch the sunset over the monumental temple. Tropical mountainous regions are plentiful and Cambodia offers literally hundreds of breathtaking locations for the ultimate adrenaline rush.
There are plenty of rock climbing and abseiling tour operators ready to organise your trip and there are plenty of climbs to choose from for all skill levels. Expert training is provided onsite, whether for learning participants requiring basic skills or for the more experienced climber requiring guidance in advanced techniques.
Mountain Biking in Cambodia
Rough mountain terrain makes Cambodia a challenging location for any mountainbiker. Though the stunning tropical scenery is breathtaking, up close and personal, poorly maintained roads, gruelling heat and treacherous off-road paths make mountain biking one of the more dangerous and physical pastimes in Cambodia.
Before embarking on a ride through Cambodia’s lush countryside, ensure your bike is fully maintained and has passed safety checks. Due to the amount of dust make sure you wash it down at the end of the day to keep it in good condition. When planning a ride, be certain to carry plenty of water and be advised to take your own equipment as cycle shops are few and far between.
Sky Diving in Cambodia
What better way to view Cambodia’s awe-inspiring beauty than from above. Experience the ultimate adrenaline rush whilst plunging to earth from altitudes of 10,000ft. The panoramic bird’s eye view of Cambodia’s exotic coastline and rugged terrain are simply breathtaking and is one of the best places on the planet to experience freefall. Novices to this extreme sport can opt for a tandem fall, but for the experienced skydiver this is one jump you’ll want to have alone. All the sky-diving courses in Cambodia are IAF AFF certified.
